Welcome!

Colliston House, built around the 1860's, is solidly built with granite from the local famous granite quarry, and was originally built as a Manse for the towns vicar at that time.
Dalbeattie, is known for it's connection to HMS Titanic, and exporting it's high quality cut Granite to help build the Empire State Building in NYC amongst other famous buildings around the World!
Dalbeattie, is a modest town with a growing community of around 6,800 people sited in the sheltered valley of the River Urr, about 15 miles southwest of Dumfries. It is a comparatively recent town, having been founded in the 1790s as a planned town beside the water-power of the Dalbeattie Burn. Nowadays, Dalbeattie, has become an area for Holiday Home Investors and Retirees from the South, and popular for the local Galloway forest and seaside activities!
Enjoy your visit, and drive safely avoiding the Red squirrels and hedgehogs!
